ArbKeepers (AASP Stewards)

ArbKeepers (AASP Stewards) are volunteers of various ages who like the idea of the Arboretum, like working outdoors, have some knowledge and skill in gardening/horticulture, and enjoy socializing with other like-minded individuals.

ArbKeepers set their own schedule and typically work two or more hours per week. Duties include watering, pruning, mulching, raking, planting of smaller items, helping with the annual Tree Sale, helping with Arbor Day activities, occasionally serving as a tour guides or docents, and the like.

At least once each year, ArbKeepers are invited to a recognition luncheon as well as occasional educational workshops tailored to their interests. ArbKeepers work under the guidance of the City Forester and the Chair of the Urban Forestry Commission.
